Middlesex (TV Miniseries) - Episode 1: “Smyrna”
Cal Stephanides, a Greek-American intersex transgender man living in Berlin, recalls the story of his grandparents and siblings Lefty and Desdemona. The two siblings/spouses leave the Turkish city of Smyrna while Turkish soldiers are burning it down and killing Greeks and Armenians.

Harry Belafonte (born Harold George Bellanfanti Jr., 1927-2023) was an American singer, actor and activist. He is mostly remembered for introducing Caribbean music to the mainstream public with his album "Calypso" (1956). Among his most famous tunes: "Day-O (Banana Boat)", "Jump in the line", "Jamaica Farewell", "Brown Skin Girl". He was also an actor, featuring in movies like "Carmen Jones" (1954), with Dorothy Dandrige. He was also a civil rights activist and friend of the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr., a human rights activist in Africa and a liberal political activist and critic of US Presidents George W. Bush and Donald Trump. He received three Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, a Tony Award and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

New Orleans, 1920s: Tiana always dreamed of opening a charming restaurant in the center of the town. Young broke Prince Naveen comes to town to marry a rich girl and save his economic situation but Dr. Facilier, an evil voodoo priest and warlock, transforms the prince in a frog by cheating. Naveen, mistaking Tiana for a princess, asks her to kiss him, and she does it, thinking it will work. However, it works... but backwards: Tiana gets transformed in a frog too! Now, they'll have to come back to normality and stop the evil wizard from taking control of the city.

Mummified, he comes back to life thank to the stick in modern days, where he meets Cleo Carter, a young Africa-American girl obsessed with Ancient Egypt who lives with her single mother Iris. Initially hostile towards her, they two become friends and, alongside Cleo's talking cat Luxor, they embark in several adventures, mostly against Set, the Egyptian god of chaos, enemy of Tutenstein, as the girl renamed him.
