Sam is the protagonist of Look Outside. He is an unremarkable man who receives a strange dream on the day the Visitor arrives in the sky. He awakens with a sudden urge to look outside his apartment window as the game starts. Sam is the player's name by default, but a different one can be entered at the beginning of the game when Sybil asks for his name.
