Born on March 19, 1985, in Nizhny Novgorod, Artyom Bystrov is a powerful dramatic actor known for his grounded and intense performances. After graduating from the Moscow Art Theatre School (course of Konstantin Raikin) in 2009, he joined the prestigious Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre (MHT), where he remains a leading member of the troupe. Bystrov achieved international acclaim in 2014 when he won the Silver Leopard for Best Actor at the Locarno Film Festival for his role as an honest plumber in Yuri Bykov’s social thriller The Fool. Since then, he has balanced roles in large-scale blockbusters like T-34 with acclaimed performances in television dramas such as Optimists, Container, and most recently, the 2024 crime saga Lihie (Daring).
