Vladimir Epifantsev (born September 8, 1971) is a versatile Russian theatre and cinema actor, filmmaker, and television presenter known for his physical screen presence and bold artistic choices. Born in Moscow into a family of artists, he graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute and later studied directing at GITIS, where he launched the experimental "Prok-Theater." He gained early notoriety for his role in the underground cult film The Green Elephant (1999) and has since become a prominent figure in mainstream Russian action and crime dramas, notably starring as Andrey Shamanov in the series Flint (Kremen) and its sequel. His extensive filmography includes diverse projects such as the satirical fantasy Generation P (2011), the historical epic Viking (2016), and the acclaimed drama Captain Volkonogov Escaped (2021).
