A group of Knights Templar known as the Order of Saint Dumas raised Chris Valley as a child. Chris was raised to be their enforcer—a superhuman warrior who would enforce their rules—since the day he was born. The Order discovered that Chris was a metamutant when he was an adult who had the ability to absorb kinetic impact and transform it into energy. Chris became Uriel as they called him their Angel of Destruction. Uriel is a force to be reckoned with since he is outfitted with a suit that focuses and strengthens his power, allowing him to direct it into a flaming blade.
