Tatsu "Betsy" Braddock, a metamutant and the fusion of Katana and Psylocke, left her quiet life in England to travel the world and eventually changed into the samurai mercenary known as Kokoro ("Heart", in Japanese). Because of her metamutant powers and ninja training, Kokoro's katana blades are twice as deadly, allowing her to deal both physical and mental attacks. Kokoro learned of this just as Sinistron, an evil android, was about to attack her; however, Magneto and the Magnetic Men arrived in time to save her.
