Poison Ivy
Pamela Isley is a nerdy and introverted botanist working at Gotham Botanical Gardens. She is working on a way of using plants to cure many human ailments. Pamela loves plants, so much to the point of where she prefers them over humans, and often spends more time in the greenhouse than at the bar with what friends she has. Pamela is also a strong environmentalist, and often shows up at protests about preventing the forest or some form of large vegetation from being destroyed. At one protest, Pamela meets famed botany professor Jason Woodrue, and the two bond over their shared love of vegetation and all things plant related. They soon become lab partners and create new innovations in the field of botany. One night, Pamela and Jason stayed overnight in the lab working on a new project, a formula that could allow people to feed themselves with the rays of sunlight, thus solving world famine and a bunch of other problems. As she walked in to check on her husband, she discovered that he was funding his research with help from the Moxan crime family. Jason saw her, and valuing his love of science more than his girlfriend, she tried to kill her by knocking her into a shelf of untested chemicals. Pamela didn’t die, however. One of the chemicals she was exposed to was the new solvent she has been working on that day. She immediately went home and killed her husband with the use of her new abilities. She now had poisonous nails and venom soaked lips.

Penguin
Born into Gotham’s 2nd richest family, Oswald Cobblepot had it rough due to his physical deformities, which included a beak-like nose and fingers that resembled flippers. Oswald was the black sheep of the Cobblepot family, always bullied by his 3 brothers, his father, and the children at his boarding school, who nicknamed him Penguin. His sainted mother was the only person who ever showed him any kindness, and therefore he would always do anything to protect her. Eventually, with only birds for friends and a brilliant mind, Oswald took the “treat others the way you want to be treated” rule to heart, and he sought revenge on all of those who wronged him, managing to either kill or threaten anyone who treated him poorly. With his brothers gone and his father dead from pneumonia, Oswald took his nickname to heart and used his family’s fortune to make himself the king of Gotham’s Criminal Underworld.

Riddler
Edward Nashton was a narcissistic and egotistical homicide detective working for the GCPD in 1990s Gotham City. He has a huge obsession with puzzles and riddles, often treating the cases he worked on as a giant puzzle. He doesn’t solve crimes out of the goodness of his own heart, but instead because he wants to be hailed and praised by everyone for being so smart, as he felt he deserved all of the attention in the world. He’s also the most eccentric person on the force, always dressed in bright green and has a habit of giving important information in the form of a riddle. Unfortunately, after a while he gets so good at solving murders that there’s no challenge to it anymore, and Edward enjoys nothing more than a challenge. One night while at his girlfriend’s house, he murders her in a blind rage after she insulted his intelligence. Seeing a golden opportunity, Edward disposes of her body and frames an escaped serial killer named Victor Zsasz for the crime. He does it all so flawlessly, that no one on the force is able to figure out it was him for a few months. Unfortunately, Edward simply can’t keep it a secret, and soon realizes that he could prove his intellectual superiority in a different way. Instead of solving crimes, he’ll actively commit them, and leave behind riddles and puzzles to see if the police could decipher them in order to figure out his next crime. He then adopts the name: The Riddler, in lieu of his gimmick.
