"What Time is It?" is the first song in High School Musical 2 performed by the East High students, with Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens), Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale), Ryan Evans (Lucas Grabeel), Chad Danforth (Corbin Bleu) and Taylor McKessie (Monique Coleman) all singing solos.
It was also the anthem for Disney Channel's programming lineup for the summer of 2007.
The song was also used for Tokyo Disneyland's Jubilation! Parade during the show stop sections with altered lyrics related to the park's 25th anniversary.
