Sir Tow Mater, most commonly referred to as Tow Mater or simply Mater, is the deuteragonist of the Disney•Pixar Cars franchise. He is a rusty old anthropomorphic tow truck and Lightning McQueen's best friend. His catchphrases are: "Dad-gum!", "If I'm lyin', I'm cryin'!", and "Git-R-Done!" - the last of which is shared with his voice actor. He is a major character in Cars, the protagonist of Cars 2 and a supporting character in Cars 3.
He is voiced by Larry the Cable Guy and inspired by a 1956–57 International Harvester Tow truck and 1955-1957 Chevrolet Task Force.
