Stewart is related to the Irish poet Austin Clarke and there is a bridge named after Clarke in Dublin, Ireland. Stewart was born in New York to Irish parents and raised in Ireland. His first novel, "The Vorbing" was published in 2015. Although he has written poems since he was in school, it was only during the recent Covid-19 pandemic that writing poetry became his main focus. None of it was planned, but he is very pleased with the 200+ poems he has written thus far.
