Sheriff Burke is a minor character in the original Scream (1996 film). He is the first seen Sheriff of Woodsboro in the 1996 Woodsboro Murders case, where he traced the calls back to Neil Prescott, falsely believing him to be responsible following his wife's murder the year before. He is played by Joseph Whipp.
