Mrs. Beech is the main antagonist of the 1981 book Goodnight Mister Tom and its 1998 film adaptation. She is the violent and cruel mother of William Beech, and is responsible for traumatising and abusing him for years until Tom Oakley becomes a father figure to him after he is evacuated from London during World War 2.
