Mr. Big is a powerful and ruthless Harlem gangster who operates a vast criminal empire, including smuggling British pirate treasure and funnelling the proceeds to Moscow. He is also revealed to be a top American operative for the Soviet counter-intelligence agency, SMERSH, which he uses to smuggle gold coins from the Caribbean. Mr. Big uses Voodoo and the psychic abilities of his prisoner, Solitaire, to maintain his power and influence.
