Max Charlebois, better known as MissedThePart, is a Canadian YouTuber who does "What If?" fanfiction scenarios for superhero movies, most commonly the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Content
MissedThePart does fan fictions based on "What If?" stories, detailing a version of events where things went differently, ranging from major changes to unexpected butterfly effects.
He most commonly does stories based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though others such as the Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy, The Fox X-Men Series, The Amazing Spider-Man Series, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Star Wars, and DC properties, are also featured. Some stories are one-off, while others are told through multiple episodes.
Scenarios include What if Star-Lord Didn't Punch Thanos in Infinity War?, What if Thanos Invaded Earth in the 1st Avengers?, What if Peter Parker Killed Green Goblin in No Way Home?, What if Project Insight was Successful?, and What if Thor was Banished During World War 2, among many others.
There's also crossovers, such as two separate series where Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man was the main Spider-Man of the MCU, which merges the different canons together. Other concepts like Captain America getting the Venom Symbiote, or Superman joining the Fox X-Men, or the Avengers fighting Darkseid, have also been featured. There are special one-off crossover episodes, like if The Empire from Star Wars invaded Earth during Avengers (2012) or if War of the Worlds happened during Captain America: Civil War.
The purpose of each fanfic is to tell a complete story based on one major change, while still remaining entertaining and believable.
About
Max Charlebois is from Canada, of French descent, and resides in Ontario. He's a lifelong comic fan, especially of Spider-Man, and owns an extensive collection of comic books. The channel was started to show alternative takes on the MCU, partly inspired by the comic book series What If?.
The channel's name MissedThePart was derived from the iconic line "I missed the part where that's my problem" from Spider-Man (2002) and the theme song is an electronic mix of the opening theme of Spider-Man: The Animated Series (1994).
