Biography

Kwame is a fictional character from the edutainment superhero series of Captain Planet. He is one of the five Planeteers and hails from Africa. Kwame is the bearer of the Ring of Earth, which grants him the power and control over said element by Gaia, which he discovered on the end of a staff he was leaning on while in the desert. He is the very first Planeteer to be summoned by Gaia to her home on Hope Island, which also serves as the Planeteers' base of operations. When summoning Captain Planet, he is the first in the line-up of the Planeteers to combine their powers. Kwame acts as the Planeteers' unofficial and de facto leader.
