Joseph "Joe" Gardner is the protagonist of Disney•Pixar's 2020 animated feature film Soul. He is a jazz musician and middle-school teacher whose life took a turn after he accidentally (and literally) lost his, where he visited the Great Beyond as a result. Upon meeting 22, Joe must return back to his body before time runs out.
