The man known as Wade Wilson is a Canadian mercenary also known as Deadpool, who became a test subject of Weapon X program to cure his cancer. Scientist Emrys Killbrew and his assistant Francis Fanny injected on Wilson a serum developed from Wolverine's DNA, causing him to develop a healing factor that saved his life, but also disfigured him in the process. Since then, Wilson became a anti-hero, and has been affiliated with several organization; such as Deadpool, Inc., X-Force, Avengers Unity Division, Weapon X, and Deadpool Corps. He also had a daughter with Carmelita Camacho named Ellie Camacho, who later became his sidekick sharing the name Deadpool. Wilson also had brief relationships with Vanessa Carlysle, Death,[52] and Carmelita Camacho. Despite being associated with mutants, he's not a mutant himself, but a mutate (an enhanced human).
