Biography

Clarence was a male Velociraptor in the Jurassic Park novel. Alan Grant tranquilized him to show the dinosaurs were breeding. Lex and Clarence grew fond of each other and she gave him his name. The group used Clarence to find the Raptor nest. This Velociraptor, along with others bred in the wild, had a unique ability to change color, perhaps with emotion; this is much like the Carnotaurus seen in the second novel. He was killed during the Napalm Bombing. Lex cried about his and Ralph's demise.
