Bombalurina is a fictional character first introduced in Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, by T.S. Eliot in 1939 whose name was given in the poem "The Naming of Cats." She is also a principal character in Andrew Lloyd Webber's stage musical adaption of the book called Cats and its other related media.
Bombalurina is a flirtatious and confident female, statuesque, and mischievous cat who wears a spiked collar and has a distinct red coat with black spots and a white chest. One of her biggest performances in all incarnations of the musical is when she sings a duet with her best friend Demeter about Macavity the Mystery Cat, who is considered to be the feline equivalent of Prof. Moriarty.
