Bart is the twin brother of Bert from Sesame Street. Unlike Bert, he is loud, cheerful, and tends to tell bad jokes a lot. Originally depicted in the 1970s as a traveling salesman wearing a purple plaid jacket, pink shirt, and multicolored bowtie, he was redesigned when he reappeared in the 2010s, now resembling a stereotypical "hipster" type.
