Biography

Bahjat Ahmed Etorjman,. Tripoli, Libya-born Bahjat is the rising star of A-pop (Arabic Pop). With more than 30 million on-demand streams, 100+ million collective views on YouTube, and 600+ million UGC views on Tik Tok, Bahjat is already one of the most successful Libyan artists in music history. Singing since age 2 and playing guitar since 13, Bahjat began uploading covers to YouTube at 15. A few months later, during the Arab spring of 2011, 15-year-old Bahjat and his family fled to Malta, a major turning point in their life. Separated from his country and home, Bahjat coped with these changes by continuing to create music. In 2017, he studied at Musikmakarna pop music academy in Sweden, honing his craft, educating himself on the mechanics of the business, and building his network. Bahjat has already generated international interest with his independently-released songs "Hometown Smile", "Istanbul" and "Galbek Ween" (with Egyptian Mega-producer Hassan El Shafei). He has appeared on high-profile platforms such as BBC, MBC (MENA), The National, Al Arabiya, Aftonbladet, and The Times of Malta. Now, Bahjat has partnered with The Orchard for the global release of his new track, “Us Against The World,” ahead of his debut album in the Spring of 2022.
