Arwandi was a member of Savage Land's Zebra People. He chaired a meeting of the United Council of Tribes to expose the gravity of the fact that a people of Savage Land, the Rock Tribe, had set a fire to their forest in order to plant oil palms at the behest of a multinational in exchange for food to fight the famine that had hit their people.[1]
