Synopsis

The year is 2006. Following a brief hiatus from acting, Ben Affleck makes his comeback to Hollywood's good graces by directing and starring in the remake of the 2002 Hong Kong classic 'Infernal Affairs'. The movie, which also fictionalizes real life incidents involving the infamous Boston Winter Hill Gang, is a runaway success, securing Oscar nominations for Best Director & Best Supporting Actor (Renner).

  • nathanbates I would make Ben Dignam. Or Renner should be Billy. I think it would be kind of weird to have Ben and Casey in the two leads.

    • siddarthsid   @nathanbates Agreed, the real life subtext would be too distracting, but I think all three actors would be perfect in their own right : Ben as the square-jawed golden boy, who ultimately turns out to be a hollow coward utterly devoid of morality ; Casey as the brooding idealist who gets hopelessly entangled in a conspiracy way out of his league (a passing resemblance to his GBG character) and Renner as the brash, cocky hothead (think Jem Coughlin with a badge).
