Synopsis

Harrowing tensions explode in a series of events that could happen anywhere, to anyone, just as they do to John Moore—whose days of freedom run out, who is stripped of his possessions, his courage, and his hopes, one by one, by the ominous presence of an insidious stranger impossible to resist.

Description of Old Sam Perry:

A town elder who has no qualms about speaking out against Perly and what he is doing to the community of his beloved town. Perly doesn’t see Old Sam as a threat, and often encourages others to laugh off what he says by spreading the rumor that he is becoming senile. He is instrumental in bringing Perly down. Aged in his 80’s.
