Fan Casting Manhunter in Return to the DC Universe

A successful defense attorney, Kate Spencer grew tired of supervillains slipping through the cracks of the legal system. Procuring some gear from evidence, along with blackmailing a weapons expert, Kate took on the mantle of Manhunter, beginning her career by hunting down and killing Copperhead after he had escaped confinement and a death sentence. Though vicious in action, Kate has learned to balance her work as a D.A. and as Manhunter, in addition to her following in the legacy of her grandparents, Iron Munro and Sandra Knight, the first Phantom Lady, by being part of the Justice Society of America as well as in the Birds of Prey.
