Fan Casting Blok in Return to the DC Universe

Hailing from Dryad, Blok, like all his race, is massive in size and stature, and made of living stone, capable of absorbing energy as well as great strength and endurance. A stalwart in the Legion of Super-Heroes, Blok didn't begin with the Legion. He was tricked by the Dark Man, a clone of Tharok from the Fatal Five, into serving in the League of Super-Assassins when he was led to believe the Legion was going to destroy Dryad, but Blok learned the truth and joined the Legion, forming friendships, and even romance with White Witch.
