An occult investigator from Liverpool, John Constantine is a foul-mouthed, chain smoking expert in magic, who does whatever it takes to get the job done, and in spite of how he acts, has a huge guilt complex due to his actions with a group known as the Newcastle Crew, where their actions led to a young girl named Astra losing her soul to Hell in a failed exorcism. Now, Constantine walks the shadows to dispel all kinds of evils as he knows the darkness of his own soul, using his skills in magic to help him in the process.
