Brett Mathis was a mercenary who operated within the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service in 1998 as a member of "Squad B", Delta Platoon. He was killed by the hands of Nicholai Ginovaef in the opening hours of the mission. Ginovaef pushed Brett into a crowd of zombies.
