Synopsis

In this remake of a story, I put on here a couple months ago we see a 15-year-old boy named Cole Hunter get trapped in another universe and is told he is the chosen one that has to save universe #2909 from a spirit that needs the energy of this universe to bring back to his boss a mysterious man in a hood called the Darkest. Halfway through the movie Cole gets back to his universe but eventually realizes that he needs to stop the Spirit. The movie ends with Cole and his friends Ava Rose and Conner Martino getting to back to universe #2909 with an object called a portal seed which is a seed that when thrown down opens a portal to any universe you think of. Once there they go against the Spirit who has taken the form of a tree made of a substance called Darkness that can corrupt anyone or anything it touches. Cole and a man named Crum who lives in that universe eventually stop the tree and send the Spirit through a portal. Cole and his friends get back to their universe now as protectors of the multiverse who use portal seeds to stop any threats. In the post credits we see 6 years later a 21-year-old Cole taking up a job as a forensic scientist alongside a mysterious man named Oliver Sean.

Description of David Thomas (Cole's adopted father):

David Thomas was raised in a very upper-class neighborhood where he grew up rich. Eventually David moved to Atlanta at the age of 17 to live with his cousin Stephen after being kicked out of his family's house for getting his 15-year-old girlfriend June pregnant. Once in Atlanta June eventually had a miscarriage and broke up with David leading him to turn his life around now that he had nothing. Soon David had a new home, great job, and a loveless marriage to his cousin's friend Susan Terry. Sometime in 1993 he and Susan started getting pressured by Susan's parents to have children, but the doctors said they couldn't, so they adopted a boy who had been abandoned named Cole Hunter.
