Vee's estranged husband and a former popular player/prisoner of Nerve. In the present day he has a law firm that specialized in lawsuits against tech companies and anyone in silicon valley. He has dedicated himself to making the world safe. He and Vee are married but are estranged due to Vee wanting Ian to be safe. But when Ian sees on the television news of Kayla and Randall being framed for Simone's death, he is smart enough to see through the AI and leaps back into the game to help exonerate the two reuniting him with Vee. Easy going and a risk taker who quips he is fiercely loyal to everyone especially Vee and Kayla and Randall.
