Synopsis

Focused on the lives of teenagers living on Chatham Island, a fictional island off the coast of Maine. The main characters early in the series are Zoey Passmore and her brother Benjamin, Claire Geiger and her sister Nina, Jake McRoyan, Lucas Cabral, and Aisha Gray.

Description of Lucas Cabral:

Lucas Cabral was madly in love with Claire in middle school and thought they were gonna get married. After the accident happened and Wade died, Lucas confessed to the drunk driving and ended up doing two years in Youth Authority. Now he's out of juvie and starting high school with all of his old friends--and Jake is very pissed about this. So is Claire, for reasons she can't quite pin down. While Jake and Ben are totally down with organizing an island ostracism campaign, Zoey and Claire aren't, and Lucas finds himself falling for both Claire and Zoey, as well as dealing with public shaming.
