It's been 2 years since Mike Schmidt survived those fateful Five Nights at Freddy's. And since then, nothing has been the same. Mike has become consumed with trying to solve the mysteries of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Abby is in foster care, and Vanessa isn't talking to Mike anymore. However, when a new Freddy's opens, with new animatronics and all-new branding, Mike can't shake the feeling that something might be amiss. So, he recruits his friends Jeremy, Fritz, Mark, and Vanessa, as well as calls Abby back, and together they set out to survive five more nights. After Night 2, the Puppet gives Mike and friends a series of VHS tapes that reveal what happened on the 6th of June 1985 (the original missing children's incident). And in these tapes, we finally learn why the animatronics use that Freddy mask to kill security guards. William would disguise himself as a security guard to gain access to the Pizzeria and kill the kids, and used that Freddy mask to kill Cassidy.
