When he joined the international Future Foundation, von Doom found his once vaunted brilliance rivaled by his roommate's, Reed Richards. In a bid to prove his superiority, Victor devised a device capable of traversing realities...even to the hereafter. But Reed warned him that his calculations might be off, that he could be endangering himself. Victor ignored him. And paid the price. Reborn in fire, Victor now intends to become something beyond fallibility. And Doom will come for any who interfere.
