When a green meteorite was discovered in 1938, stuck in the hull of an alien spacecraft that had crashed in Kansas, it was given the codename "Green K" or the "Kansas Lode" and became the cornerstone of the top-secret Super-Soldier project. Early in the 1940s, Nazi scientists appropriate the spacecraft from the American government and use it to conduct investigations on the "mystery element" while working under the guidance of war criminal Lex Luthor. Luthor utilized the Green K's radiation to power Ultra-Metallo, a massive robot with a huge nazi painted on its chest and the fusion of Sleeper and Metallo. He was seeking an instrument of death for Super-Solder.
