Dark Claw Beyond continually thwarted Pandemic's plans, so he made the choice to use the cloning technology developed by his company, Alchemax. He attempted to create a deadly clone of Dark Claw Beyond by obtaining a sample of her DNA. However, during the cloning procedure, the immature clone broke free. Dark Claw Beyond found her lost and abandoned and adopted her, giving her the name Gabby. After discovering who Dark Claw Beyond was, Gabby McGinnis went to the Barrow with her sister to look for Sparrow's old clothes. She made her own Sparrow-inspired suit out of vintage costume pieces and became Dark Claw Beyond's sidekick, Sparrow Beyond.
