An old metamutant named Ra's A-Pocalypse thought that everyone else on Earth should die. He created a virus with the help of his daughter Lady Talia, which he intended to release into the atmosphere in order to wipe out all metamutants. Dark Claw fired down the aircraft just as his plane was about to take off with the virus inside. In the collision, Ra's A-Pocalypse perished, and the virus was destroyed by the flames.
