Firebird's twin sister is Madelyne Pryor (although her hair and fire powers are red instead of green). She transformed into the Red Queen using her metamutant abilities, and while Firebird was unconscious, she fell in love with Apollo. Red Queen's relationship came to an end when she was imprisoned by the evil Alice Arcade and made to engage in a life-or-death struggle with the White Queen on a massive chessboard.
