Insanely envious of Bruce Wayne, Bane Simpson believed that Bruce owned everything that should have been his. Desperate to strip Bruce of everything, he allowed Green Skull to implant wrist-mounted injectors in his arms that were filled with the chemical venom, which increases strength, and he changed into Nuke. When Nuke joined HYDRA, Madame Cat gave the command for him to attack Bruce. Bruce was able to overload Nuke's wrist injectors, flooding Nuke's bloodstream with Venom and causing him to suffer a fatal heart attack. At first, Nuke had the upper hand when he utilized his injectors and achieved superhuman strength.
