Creeper (Jack Ryder) meets Nightcrawler (Marvel) (Kurt Wagner). Apart from his brief stint as an acrobat in a circus, Kurt Ryder is a green-furred metamutant whose parents and early years remain unknown. He was immediately dismissed from the circus due to his "freakish" appearance and odor. When the "new blood" JLA members went to New Jersey to investigate reports of a mysterious creature roaming the wild, they discovered Kurt Ryder. When he joined the Judgment League Avengers' New Blood, he took the alias Nightcreeper.
