Chris Parker, the hybrid of Darkhawk and Golden Eagle, found a strange amulet while evading his father, a corrupt police officer, in an abandoned amusement park. The amulet transformed him into the Thanagarian android known as the Dark Eagle. Chris learned to switch between his human and robotic forms at will and began using the Dark Eagle's abilities to fight the corruption his father was a part of.
