
Assassin's Creed Cinematic Universe
Ubisoft had bought back the rights to the first film in 2016 from 20th Century Studios, promptly selling it to Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount Pictures for future co-distributions, as well as rights to future sequels which contracted to produce Assassin's Creed films with Regency Enterprises, DMC Film and The Kennedy/Marshall Company entered a bidding competition to win the distribution rights. Universal Pictures refused to distribute the cinematic franchises and were initially rejected. instead, it was confirmed by confirmed by Warner Bros. along with Paramount. Both Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount Pictures are the front-runners bidding to make an Assassin's Creed film franchise or cinematic universe.
