Callisthenes was the nephew of the great philosopher Aristotle. He was among one of the most close person to Alexander, as the official historian of the expedition. He died in 327 BC after he was involved in the conspiracy of the pages, against the new persian habits adopted by Alexander. His work is lost, we have only little fragments and references in later works (Mainly in Diodorus and Plutarchus)
