Bruce takes on a new Robin in Jason Todd. We see the growth of these two as partners or lack there of over the 8 months we've been absent of Gotham. The Death in the Family punch happens at the same time Dick picks up his phone at the end of Teen Titans. What has Joker done to Barbra and Jason?

Batman is haunted by what Amazo was able to do to the Justice League. He stays up late at night working on some project. All the while Dick and Barbra feel him drifting away. Bruce and Dick can't seem to stop arguing. Hugo Strange isn't going to just sit by while his favorite Vigilante seems to have disappeared though. What is Hugo planning? Will Bruce be able to reconnect with his family? Or will the new era of the world leave him a ghost to haunt Gotham forever.
