13 year old Billy Bateson goes from foster home to foster home, still being a great kid even though life has felt him some bad cards. When he finally makes it to his new home, he meets a boy named Freddy Freeman and a girl name Mary Bromfield, someone who he feels like he has a strong connection with. Along the way he meets a wizard named Shazam that gives him powers, making him just as strong as Superman. Making him the mightiest mortal of them all.
