We're in 2007 now. Many years have passed. Jonas has come out as a trans girl and now goes by the name Janis. Jasmine would prefer not to let her take hormones, but Lois, who has become Janis's role model, convinces her to. In the meanwhile, Toni and Clarice are working for Freedom To Marry, an activist organization to legalize same-sex marriage, yet they become closer and closer to a break-up. Rafael downloads on YouTube a video of Clarice and Toni bickering and talking about sexual experiences, involuntarily defaming Freedom To Marry. Samia leaves her husband Ammar and buys a house with Ginger.

Dykes To Watch Out For: 1X05: "Like A Virgin"
Despite being in a stable relationship with Mo and living with her, Sydney keeps meeting Madeleine, her ex, infuriating Mo. The homophobic Cynthia meets a lesbian fellow student named Liz and they fall in love, forcing Cynthia to come out and apologize to her lesbian acquaintances. Still, Cynthia refuses to have sex with Liz since they're not married yet. Cynthia and Ginger both move with Lois, Stuart, Sparrow and J. R.. At the end, Cynthia proposes to Liz, but she, disturbed, runs away.

Ginger has a new conservative and homophobic student who is studying to become a CIA intern. In the meantime, she meets Samia, a Syrian lesbian woman who is in a "lavender marriage" to a man. Madwimmin Bookstore finally closes.

Her new partner is a Jewish activist named Stuart Goodman, a staunch environmentalist. We follow Lois and Mo's workday at Madwimmin Bookstore, a feminist bookstore. Clarice proposes to Toni, even though the state doesn't recognize same-sex marriage, yet they get married in their backyard in a public ceremony.

1987: in an unnamed American suburb, we follow the lives of a group of lesbian women friends: Mo is politically and socially committed, but struggles to find a girlfriend because she's too choosy. Her roommate Lois, on the other hand, is really libertine and has several polyamorous relationship. Clarice and Toni, instead, live a seemingly perfect monogamous quasi-married lifestyle. Fortunately, Mo meets Harriet at karate classes and they become a couple at the first pride parade they attend together.
