As a result she cast a spell that caused anyone that knew of them to believe they were much younger than themselves and therefore not worth bothering with. However, Uxas came to Earth and told stories of their exploits to the inhabitants of Rome. This caused worship of the Olympians to increase so dramatically that to cope they split themselves into the Greek and Roman gods who eventually became separate beings. Too late, the Olympians realized that this had been part of a long time plan of Uxas to weaken them by dividing their overall power. Some of the Olympians played a role in the creation of the Amazons, who have been guided and protected by the goddesses ever since.

The Trojan Women
The Trojan Women was one of a trilogy of plays dealing with the suffering created by the Trojan Wars. Cassandra, Hecuba's daughter who has been driven insane by the ravages of war, waits to see if King Agamemnon will send her into concubinage, while Helen of Troy, waits to see if she will live.

Troy
In 1184 BC, King Agamemnon unites the Greek kingdoms. Achilles, a heroic warrior, fights for Agamemnon but despises his tyrannical rule. Meanwhile, Prince Hector of Troy and his brother, Paris, negotiate a peace treaty with Menelaus, King of Sparta. Paris begins an affair with Menelaus' wife, Queen Helen, and he smuggles her aboard his home-bound vessel. Angered, Menelaus meets Agamemnon, his elder brother, and asks him to help take Troy. Agamemnon agrees, as conquering Troy would give him control of the Aegean Sea. Agamemnon sends Odysseus, King of Ithaca, to persuade Achilles to join them. However, if he stays, he will live a long life, but his name will be forgotten.

He goes to the palace where he finds Helen's husband, king Menelaus, Agamemnon, Odysseus, Achilles and many other Greek kings debating whether to go to war with Troy. Menelaus, who is denied by Helen, sees that his wife and Paris are in love and, pretending friendship, plots Paris' death.
