The Avengers (2017-2024)
By 2005, Marvel Entertainment had begun planning to produce its own films independently and distribute them through Paramount Pictures. Previously, Marvel had co-produced several superhero films with Columbia Pictures, New Line Cinema and others, including a seven-year development deal with 20th Century Fox. Marvel made relatively little profit from its licensing deals with other studios and wanted to get more money out of its films while maintaining artistic control of the projects and distribution. Avi Arad, head of Marvel's film division, was pleased with Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films at Sony, but was less pleased with others. As a result, Arad decided to form Marvel Studios, Hollywood's first major independent film studio since DreamWorks.

Drake & Josh (1994-1997)
The series revolves around two stepbrothers, Drake Parker and Josh Nichols, who live in San Diego, California with Drake's biological mother and younger sister Megan; and Josh's biological father. Drake is a popular musician idolized by his schoolmates. Josh is a well-read student, but is clumsy and has trouble with his social life and dating. The two boys are often involved in comedic escapades and challenges while also handling an array of teenage problems.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (2030)
16-year-old Percy struggles with dyslexia, but has a unique ability to stay underwater. On a school trip to a museum, Percy is attacked by Alecto, a Fury masquerading as his substitute English teacher, Miss Dodds, who demands the lightning bolt. Percy's best friend Grover Underwood and his Latin teacher Mr. Brunner help scare off Alecto. Mr. Brunner gives Percy a pen which he claims is a powerful weapon, and instructs Grover to take Percy and his mother Sally to Camp Half-Blood—a hidden summer camp for demigod children. There, they are attacked by the Minotaur, who seemingly kills Sally when Sally is unable to enter the camp. At Grover's suggestion, Percy uses Mr. Brunner's pen, discovering that is a sword, to fight off the Minotaur. After having no success with the sword, Percy kills the Minotaur with its own horn before fainting out of intense shock.

Astro Boy (2029)
Toby Tenma is a teenage boy who lives in Metro City, a futuristic city-state that floats above the now-polluted surface of the earth. Toby's father, Dr. Tenma, is a famous roboticist and Minister of Science, but has a distant relationship with Toby. Dr. Tenma meets the city's obstructive and corrupt leader President Stone to demonstrate a new, advanced defensive robot called the Peacekeeper, to be powered by Dr. Tenma's best friend Dr. Elefun's newest creations, the Blue and Red Cores, two energy cores that emit respective opposing positive and negative energy. Against the scientists' warnings, Stone, desperate to win re-election, loads the Red Core into the Peacekeeper. This causes it to go berserk and Toby, who had snuck into the room, is accidentally disintegrated by the Peacekeeper before it can be shut down.

Beauty and the Beast (2007)
in the small town of Villeneuve, Belle, the book-loving daughter of an inventor named Maurice, dreams of adventure. She constantly brushes off advances from Gaston, an arrogant former soldier, as he is not the type of man Belle wishes to marry. On Maurice's way to a convention and lost in the forest, he seeks refuge in the Beast's castle, but the Beast imprisons him for stealing a rose from his garden as a gift to Belle. When Maurice's horse returns without him, Belle ventures out in search of him, and finds him locked in the castle dungeon. Belle tricks both her father and the Beast by asking for a simple hug goodbye from her father, she pushes him out and locks herself in the dungeon. The Beast agrees to let her take her father's place and forces Maurice to leave immediately.

Zombieland (2019)
Two months have passed since a strain of mad cow disease mutated into "mad person disease" that became "mad zombie disease", which overran the entire United States (with the infection presumably spreading to the rest of the world), turning many Americans into vicious zombies. Survivors of the zombie epidemic have learned that growing attached to other survivors is not advisable because they could die at any moment, so many have taken to using their city of origin as nicknames.

The Heartbreak Kid (2027)
Eddie Cantrow, the owner of a San Francisco sports shop, is single but ambivalent about starting a relationship. While walking, he sees a thief snatching a woman's purse. He tries but fails to retrieve the purse. He and its owner Lila exchange pleasantries but not numbers. Eddie finds Lila to be attractive and funny.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2015)
One Thursday morning, Arthur Dent discovers that his house is to be immediately demolished to make way for a bypass. He tries delaying the bulldozers by lying down in front of them. Ford Prefect, a friend of Arthur's, convinces him to go to a pub with him. Over several pints of beer, Ford explains that he is an alien from the vicinity of Betelgeuse, and a journalist working on the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a universal guide book. Ford warns that the Earth is to be demolished later that day by a race called Vogons, to make way for a hyperspace bypass.

Race to Witch Mountain (2019)
An alien spacecraft crashes near Searchlight, Nevada, 45 miles outside of Las Vegas. Project Moon Dust, a secret Defense Department unit led by Henry Burke, arrive at the scene of the crash in black helicopters. Men in Black seize the spaceship and search for its passengers with the intention of harnessing their DNA and powers.

Spy (2035)
Susan Cooper is a 40-year-old, single, desk-bound CIA employee who remotely assists her partner, field agent Bradley Fine, on a mission. Fine accidentally kills arms dealer Tihomir Boyanov so failing to learn the location of a suitcase nuke from him. Susan uncovers evidence that Rayna, Boyanov's daughter, has contacted terrorist middle man Sergio De Luca, so Fine infiltrates her home. Rayna shoots Fine dead, while Susan watches helplessly online. Rayna then reveals that she knows the identities of the agency's top agents, including Rick Ford and Karen Walker. Susan, once a top trainee agent but now unknown, volunteers to track her. When her boss, Elaine Crocker, reluctantly agrees, the ultra macho Ford quits in disgust.

Death Wish (2008)
Paul Kersey, a Chicago trauma surgeon, lives with his wife, Lucy, and daughter, Jordan. When the family visits a restaurant with Paul's brother Frank, a valet named Miguel photographs their home address from their car's navigation software after hearing about a night they plan to be away from home. However, Paul is called to work that night, and Jordan and Lucy are home when the burglars arrive. The ensuing struggle leaves Lucy dead and Jordan in a coma; one of the burglars is scarred when Lucy and Jordan fight back.

Ghostbusters (2036)
Physicists Abby Yates and Erin Gilbert are authors of a research book which posits the existence of paranormal phenomena, such as ghosts. While Abby continued to study the paranormal at a technical college with eccentric engineer Jillian Holtzmann, Erin, now a professor at Columbia University, disowned the work, fearing it might jeopardize her tenure. When Abby republishes the book, Erin convinces her to agree to remove the book from publication in exchange for helping Abby and Jillian in a paranormal investigation. They witness a malevolent ghost, restoring Erin's belief in the paranormal, but video footage of the investigation is posted online, and Erin is fired by the university. She joins Abby and Jillian to set up new offices above a Chinese restaurant, calling themselves "Conductors of the Metaphysical Examination". They build equipment to study and capture ghosts, and hire the dimwitted but handsome Kevin Beckman as a receptionist.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2029)
Dora's parents decipher the location of Parapata and choose to send a now 16-year-old Dora to Diego's high school in Los Angeles while they travel to the lost city. Staying with a now 17-year-old Diego and his family, Dora meets fellow students Sammy and Randy Due to Dora’s intelligence, Sammy sees her as her rival, but Randy is amused by Dora’s intelligence, as well as her being very nice to him, and develops an immediate crush on her. Dora enjoys her new life, but Diego is embarrassed by her eccentric behavior and people mocked and laughed them, which leads to a fallout between them

Heavyweights (2015)
When school ends for the summer, Gerry Garner’s parents send him to Camp Hope, a weight loss camp for boys. Initially reluctant, Gerry meets enthusiastic camp counselor Pat, and befriends the other campers, who have smuggled in enough junk food for the entire summer. The first night at Camp Hope brings the revelation that the original owners, the Bushkins, have declared bankruptcy and the camp has been bought by fitness entrepreneur Tony Perkis, who plans to transform the camp’s weight loss program into a best-selling infomercial.

21 Jump Street (2032)
the duo meets again at the Police Academy and become friends and partners on bicycle patrol. They catch a break when they arrest Domingo, the leader of a one-percenter motorcycle gang, but are forced to release him after they failed to read him his Miranda rights.

Trolls (2006)
an adult Poppy throws a big party to celebrate the Trolls' escape, despite the warnings of the over-cautious and egotistical gray Troll, Branch (who has a secret crush on her), that loud parties will attract the Bergens. At the party, Branch's warnings come true when Chef sees the fireworks and kidnaps Poppy's friends, including a "Zen" troll named Creek, whom Poppy loves.

Men in Black (2007-2022)
a series of American science fiction action comedy films directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, and based the on Malibu / Marvel comic book series The Men in Black by Lowell Cunningham. The first film, Men in Black, was released in 1997, the second film, Men in Black II, in 2002, the third film, Men in Black 3, in 2012, and the fourth film, Men in Black: International, in 2019. Amblin Entertainment and MacDonald/Parkes Productions produced all four films and distributed through Columbia Pictures.

Logan Lucky (2007)
West Virginian Jimmy Logan is laid off from his construction job in the tunnels underneath the Charlotte Motor Speedway. He is close to his daughter, Sadie, who lives with her mom, Bobbie Jo, and her new, rich husband, Moody. Sadie performs in beauty pageants, and Jimmy’s hair stylist sister, Mellie, does her hair. Bobbie Jo and Moody plan on moving to Lynchburg as Moody plans to open up a new dealership.
