Peter starts working at the Daily Bugle. He makes a ton of friends, but one sticks out among the rest. Eddie Brock is a failing reporter who is jealous of Peter's success in the company. He starts spreading lies about Peter and Spider-Man. Peter finds out about this and manages to get Eddie kicked by his boss JJJ. A furious Eddie finds a symbiote in his search for revenge on Spider-Man. The symbiote drives Eddie even more crazy and now they're out to kill a common enemy.
