A Velgrmon appears and kidnaps T.K.. Tai and the others escape from inside Valvemon, who is destroyed by Velgrmon. As the Velgrmon escapes with T.K., a Megadramon appears to cover for its retreat and Leomon confronts him alone, allowing Tai, Spike, Tippy and Matt to chase after Velgrmon. Meanwhile, in the real world, the others make contact with their Digimon partners and learn that they escaped safely to the Network. In a combined effort, MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon stop Velgrmon while Matt, Tippy and Spike rescues T.K.. However, Velgrmon fights back and attempts to capture T.K. again when Angemon, who was restrained somewhere, breaks free and rushes to T.K.'s aid. In the occasion, a Digivice appears for T.K., and Angemon uses his powers to heal and empower MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon, who defeat Velgrmon. Exhausted, Angemon smiles to T.K. and his energy is gone and to Tippy's surprise that Angemon has reverted to a Digi-Egg and is stolen by SkullKnightmon.

Finally arriving in Viridian City, Atem, Chase, Elaine, Lightning, Calaka, Bronze, Sunny, Izzy, Hitch, Zipp, Pipp, Sparky and Lightning's Lion Guard is cornered by Officer Jenny, who asks why he is carrying Pikachu instead of having it in a Poké Ball. After explaining, Jenny takes all of them to the Pokémon Center, where Nurse Joy begins treatment on the injured Pikachu. Before Pikachu's treatment finishes, Misty, the girl who Calaka took the bike from, confronts them for destroying her bicycle, and vows to stick with them until they compensated her for it. The Pokémon Center is then attacked by Jessie, James, their talking Meowth and Jessies's Wobbuffet; members of Team Rocket, a crime gang seeking to steal all of the infirm Pokémon. Lightning's Pikachu recovers, and joins the Pokémon Center's many Pikachu manage to defeat Team Rocket by shocking them using Thunder Shock which causes Koffing to use Smokescreen, which also causes an explosion that destroys the Pokémon Center

When Lightning Anthony Michaels, his fox best friend Calaka and their Lion Guard teammate friends overslept on their 19th birthdays, they end up with a two young Pokémon trainers, Chase and Elaine, a fresh Keyblade wielder, Atem and his friends and a stubborn Pikachu instead of the first partner Pokémon Lightning wanted! But it would rather climb a tree than battle a Pidgey that Ash encounters! Disagreements aside, they start to bond when they find themselves chased by an angry flock of Spearow. The Spearow wound Pikachu, but Lightning risks his own safety to protect his Pokémon. To further their escape, Lightning "borrows" a bike owned by Misty, promising that he'll return it one day, much to her anger. He tries to pedal of his life; however, they are surrounded by the Spearow. When Chase and Lightning fearlessly confronts the Spearow, Pikachu is inspired to summon his remaining energy to repel the Pokémon with a powerful electric shock. which throws everyone back onto the ground, causes Majestic to lose his crest feathers, destroys the bike and injuring Pikachu in the process They all have a glimpse of Ho-Oh in the sky after a storm

On the merge of their 18th birthdays after becoming the Lion Guard team, Lightning Anthony Michaels and his fox best friend, Calaka and his closest Lion Guard teammate friends woke up late one morning after throwing his Poké Ball alarm clock in his sleep and Prof. Oak tells them that all the Pokémon are gone. Ash has no choice but to take a naughty Pikachu, who won't listen to them because Pikachu chooses to stay outside of its Poké Ball, forcing Chase and Calaka to drag it along with a rope. After many failed attempts at capturing some Pokémon, Lightning throws a rock and hits a Spearow, who gets angry and calls an entire flock to chase all of them. They run away from the Spearow, in which Lightning "borrows" a bike from a red-haired girl named Misty to escape, but when they cannot go any farther, Chase and Lightning uses their bodies to shield Pikachu from the attacking Pokémon. Pikachu realizes how much Lightning cares for him and uses a powerful electric attack to drive the Spearow away, destroying the bicycle and severely injuring Pikachu in the process as well. they all saw a glimpse of Ho-Oh.

Atem, Goldstar, Chase, Sunny and ffriends stop for a break when they see an Oddish taking a drink. Goldstar and Misty try to catch it but they are stopped by a Bulbasaur who rescues the Oddish. They continue on their journey and they'll caught in the traps, until the Bulbasaur's owner, Melaniea and a young adult Bloodhound/Coonhound mix named Bronze saves them and brings them back to their cabin. they all help treated all the poorly Pokémon, Meanwhile, Team Rocket decides to steal all the Pokémon. After a fail attempt to capture a fish, Both Calaka and Bronze began to dissent amongst themselves and both growling at each other while being distracted. Bronze tries to attack Calaka, but the brave fox quickly dodges her teeth and fights back, however Enye stalls the fight and they both reconciled and began a romantic soul mated relationship and Bronze decided to travel with them and In the end, Melanie gives Bulbasaur to Ash, but not until Bulbasaur challenges Ash and Pikachu to a battle.
