6 months after the first film, the Rescue Rangers are alerted that Sweet Pete has escaped from prison. Now the Rangers (particularly Dale) will have to bring the show to life by solving the case of the escaped convict. Along the way, they encounter a new cartoon vigilante in town named The Green Crow (voiced by Keith David) as he too wants to put Sweet Pete behind bars for... personal reasons. But it's not only the vigilante they'll have to encounter. Chip, Dale, Gadget, Monterey Jack, and Zipper will also have another partnership that's very unusual. Themselves. Meaning the live action Rescue Rangers will meet with the Rescue Rangers from the actual show. Now the two Rescue Rangers will have to team up with Green Crow to stop Sweet Pete.
